Some say they’re just being neighborly, and some prefer to remain anonymous, but Texans really love to lend a helping hand. From hometown to downtown, these folks have hearts as big as Texas.
Heidi Frazier, Bluebonnet EC: As a Girl Scout troop leader for more than 15 years, Frazier has assisted Scouts with a number of community service activities. This year, her high school-age troop donated and installed a flagpole at the Caldwell Girl Scout House.

Firefighters coach and train kids, providing a supportive environment free of charge through a program that teaches discipline, respect, determination, life skills and responsibility and promotes community-oriented youth and an active, healthy lifestyle.
